Children of Imprisoned Activists Call Out to Michelle Obama

This morning the children of land and housing rights women activists, who have been imprisoned at Prey Sar since November 2014, gathered in front of the Embassy of the United States of America. They submitted an open letter calling for the intervention from the First Lady Mrs. Michelle Obama to release their mothers during her official visit to Cambodia from March 21st to 22nd, 2015. They had also prepared some drawings representing their mothers in prison, with hand-written personalized messages, which were also submitted to the Embassy in the hope that Mrs Obama will read them. More than 100 people including monks, community activists, representatives from CSOs participated in this action.
