Solidarity Action #4: Candlelight vigil to Free the 15!

On Friday evening at least 300 people gathered at a candlelight vigil in Village 22, Boeung Kak to pay their respects to the 15 imprisoned Boeung Kak activists. The gathering started with children singing freedom and land songs, holding lotus flowers, candles, signs, and hats, and then lighting candles in the sand spelling Free the 15!. The Messenger Band also performed a song called “Mother’s word from prison” given to them from Tep Vanny, currently serving her 2.5 year term at CC2. The 15 imprisoned activists are parents or grandparents to 43 children.
